Hi, I'm Micaela.
One of the most impactful ways we communicate with one another is the power of a good story. This comes from its ability to engage, touch and inspire action in us, their audiences. My entire life has been dedicated to the study, creation and application of such stories.
I received my BA in Communications and Social Sciences from The Evergreen State College, where I became passionate about telling stories about complex and diverse topics. I furthered this education by pursuing and receiving an MFA in Film and Television production from USC's School of Cinematic Arts.
My past work is varied and eclectic, showcasing my ability to find the heart of any story and to make it impactful. My experience includes Video Content Marketing, Editorial and Published content marketing, to production design, screenwriting, and producing.
My own films include Rue's Eden, Fractured (distributed through Reel NW / PBS Seattle), and The Paranormal Shopping Network (Webby nominated). Additionally, I produced the award-winning Nzara '76, for which I received an Outstanding Achievement in Producing award at the First Look Film Festival.
Currently I am open to freelance collaborations, full time work, and representation. Let's work together to get your story seen.
